# Order Bonuses Order bonuses reward customers with extra entries when their order total hits a certain dollar amount. They're a straightforward way to encourage larger orders — "Spend $100, get 50 bonus entries" is an easy message for customers to understand and act on. ## Why Use Order Bonuses? - **Increase average order value** — Give customers a clear incentive to add more to their cart - **Reward your best customers** — Bigger spenders get more entries without you doing anything manually - **Stack with other bonuses** — Order bonuses layer on top of bonus periods and product bonuses ## Setting Up an Order Bonus 1. Open **Giveaway Gator** and go to **Promotions**. 2. Click **Manage** on your promotion. 3. Navigate to the **Order Bonuses** section. 4. Click **Add Order Bonus**. 5. Fill in the form: - **Order Value Threshold ($)**: The minimum order amount to qualify (e.g., $100). - **Bonus Entries**: How many extra entries to award when the threshold is met (e.g., 50). - **Apply to entire promotion**: Check this to make the bonus active for the full duration of your promotion. When unchecked, you can set custom start/end dates. - **Start Date & End Date** (optional): Only available when "Apply to entire promotion" is unchecked. Use these to run time-limited order bonuses within a longer promotion. 6. Click **Add**. ## Tips - You can create **multiple order bonuses** with different thresholds (e.g., $50 = 25 bonus entries, $100 = 75 bonus entries, $200 = 200 bonus entries) to create a tiered incentive structure. - Use time-limited order bonuses to run flash incentives like "This weekend only: spend $75, get 100 bonus entries." - Order bonuses are **flat bonus entries**, not multipliers — they add a fixed number on top of whatever the customer already earned from their order.
